Who I Am

Hello, I’m glad you’re here! My name is Mason and I am a 30 year-old autistic person currently residing in Denver, Colorado. As an engineer and disciple of technical writing, I struggled for many years to identify my creative niche. Since 2019 I have developed a love for poetry, first reading and then writing. It emerged from a need for catharsis when facing turmoil in my personal life. Accordingly, my favorite poems are those feel like a pure expression of emotions rather than the telling of a story.

I have created this website for the same reason that an artist hangs up their paintings. I am an amateur but I know my poems don’t have to be good for me to be proud of them. I am not seeking attention, acclaim, or money. I simply hope that exposing this part of myself may allow you to connect with the emotions you need to.
